About this product

The OTC 1381 cruciform hyperextension orthosis applies three-point pressure across the thoracolumbar spine to encourage a mildly hyperextended posture that offloads compressive forces from the anterior vertebral bodies. The swivel sternal pads distribute contact pressure smoothly across the chest, eliminating hot spots along the pad edges. The frame is lightweight and adjusts to the patient's torso for an individualized fit. Use For: Mild compression fractures of the thoracolumbar spine, mild kyphosis, postural offloading following vertebral injury - Three-point pressure system encourages a mild hyperextended posture to reduce anterior spinal loading - Swivel sternal pads move with the body to keep contact pressure even and comfortable - Anterior vertical bar adjusts in both length and angle for a customized fit - Adjustable anterior height from 16.5" to 19.5" (41.2 to 49.5 cm) - Adjustable circumference from 32" to 42" (81.3 to 106.7 cm) - Lightweight frame is straightforward to apply and remove - Latex free
